I’m looking for some help sealing a concrete patio. The patio is 50 year old concrete, already painted, supported on wood joists over the garage. The support structure is in pretty good shape, but there’s water getting through the concrete. I want to be able to keep the water out, but still walk on the patio. Any suggestions?

This topic is discussed fairly frequently, so a lot of good stuff has already been posted. Use the Advanced Search button, near the top of the frame on the left, and do a search for messages containing the words deck and roof.
Did the search and came up with a couple of posts on sealing concrete on interior floors. I'll keep searching to see what I can find. But I think I'm looking for something different--a way of sealing concrete that will keep water from seeping into the garage below and take high traffic and sunshine on the deck above. Am I off base here, or is it not a different thing?
I'm not an expert, but if I understand correctly what I've read here, there's nothing you can paint on your deck that will reliably keep water from seeping through it over the long term. There are roofing systems that will do the job, and there are decking systems that will allow you to walk on the roof, and that's the direction I was pointing you. Sorry I didn't make that clear the first time.
