All the talking we do here about HD and Lowes but I can’t remember anyone mentioning Sears. I mean they do installation and have for years. What brought this to mind is last week I had a job replacing a cold water supply pipe from the water meter to the water heater. The water heater had been installed 3 or 4 years ago by Sears. While tearing out the old pipe I get to the water heater and think I’m seeing things, nope, pipes are reversed! Cold goes into the hot and vice versa. So I think maybe the guy was just lazy and he pulled the cold water tube and moved it to the hot side. Nope. I can’t see how he could have done it without actually moving the pipes as they were originally on the correct side. My clients love me, they say its the best hot water they have had since they got the new heater (go figure) and now they don’t run out. DanT

Wow, that is unbelievable. How did it work? Well there are idiots in all trades. I feel sorry for the customer. You're their hero now.

Unbelievable as it was for this to be installed this way, what is wrong with your clients? Even if they couldn't figure out the pipes were reversed, they surely had to realize something was wrong with the install. And they did nothing about it? Never ceases to amaze me how clueless so many folks are.
