Need some advice for scraping/repainting a circa 1800 frame farmhouse. Have tried oil which worked 30 years ago. Last advice from the paint store was elastomerit which is now peeling to the bare wood but not completely (unfortunately), lasted ten years. Have had advice to use a heat gun and oil primer then acrylic now but am hesitant. Would hate to burn the place down! Any ecperience out there? Or painters who want to do a big job near SC?
