Hello there,

I thought that this might be a good place to see if there were any individuals or companies who are looking to hire someone for an electrical apprenticeship, either commercial or residential. I am located in Mississauga, ON, 20 min outside of Toronto and am looking for any work in Southern Ontario. I am a University of Toronto graduate, 22, with an Honor’s BA in Philosophy and I realize that I cannot deal with a desk job. I want a career where I can learn a skill and actually accomplish something at the end of the day.

I have experience doing residential electrical, but I am not expert in the least. I am good with dealing with information and solving problems, reading blueprints and I am not someone who is convinced that they know everything. I want to learn something concrete and I am willing to listen to anyone who will teach me. I have my own vehicle for transportation. Currently I work in a shop installing heavy duty equipment on trucks and van, so I am very competent regarding a construction/industrial environment and I am trained on how to operate a variety of tools and machinery. I am also a licensed forklift operator.
