Home Depot has a Senco Finish Kit which includes a finish nailer (15 ga, believe it to be a FP 35 model) and an 18 ga brad nailer (believe it to be FP 15 model) and a crown stapler, tool fittings and a three gun case, for $219. Any thoughts on this deal and teh quality of these models? Just one finish nailer can run $200+. I am in the need for a brad nailer for cabinet work. Staples can be very handy and I think I will have the need for a finish nailer for casework in the future. ???? |

Its a good kit and the berlin HD has the kit for $160.
Berlin GErmany?
They're not bad. A buddy of mine has that set.Check with Home Depot though, that set is on clearance here for $153.
Try sold out! I will have to check some other stores.
You say not bad. ie you would not want one if you were to use it for more than ocassional use??????
Nothing wrong with it at all. The company I work for uses Senco pretty much exclusively except for one Ridgid. For some reason I'm partial to the Ridgid, I like the way it feels.

The cheaper Senco stuff is hardly worthy of the good old Senco name - but, for $153 you probably couldn't go wrong.
Check out Home Depot for the Dewalt 16 finish + Dewalt 18 brad nailer combo. My HD's are clearing out the combo kits with bag and glasses for $159. They were $199 - the 16 gun alone sells for $159 at Lowes.
They have super balance and have some great features.
I'm usually no Dewalt fan, but these guns seem nice.

for the price, go for it but those cheaper senco models are pretty lame imo. at work we got the baby senco compressor and it came with the cheap 18ga brad gun. What an irritating piece of junk, when it jambs (jams often) you have to take the whole damn thing apart and this little spring goes flying off every time. really makes me want to shoot it with the framing gun to teach it a lesson
