I borrowed my sons framing nailer a Paslode “powermaster” angled nailer. I’m a first time user. The trigger seems exceptionaly sensitive and tends to shoot twice. Had one nail sail across the room!!! I’ve used finishing and brad nailers before without a problem……………. Is there some kind of adjustment for this………….or I hate to admit it user error? Thanks.

That's how they work if the "bump fire" trigger is installed. Can't remember if "bump fire" is the terminology they use or not, but it means that if you keep the trigger depressed, the gun will fire everytime the nose tip is depressed. You can fire single nails, but it takes a little practice to avoid double firing. Some nail guns have a simple means of switching between that mode and the sequential firing mode which shoots only one nail at a time. The Paslode, however, requires that the trigger switch be replaced with a different one.
Sounds like thats my problem. I really appreciate the info!!
Some guns will double fire with too much pressure, not air pressure but you holding the gun. Often happens when reaching from a ladder to shoot a nail. You tend to push too hard. Also happens sometimes when the gun is in a tight space, between joists etc.I imagine this is what you are referring to. Next time it double fires, think about what position the gun was in, will help to avoid it in the future.

Thanks Mike..........I considered operator error.
My Paslode framer came set for multi nail applications..need to change the trigger to use in single shot mode. The trigger is a different color to identify the application.
Thanks Ernie...............your right. I've talked to the local distributor and he said the same thing. Need to change the trigger over. I'm getting way to old to send a 3" nail through my knee........................besides I'm remodeling a house not building pallets on piece work.
