Have any of you put sheetrock over a high thickness of foam. this is going to have 2 inches of blue foam over 1/2 inch of foil faced foam over 2X6 framing lumber that has 6 inches of fiberglass. this is for a wall that tips in 3 ft and is 8 ft tall. also am putting sheetrock over 3/4 inch of foilfaced foam on the ceiling.
thanks

Lots of Enerfoam to be gluing it all up.
*Be aware that even though the expansion coefficient of the rigid foam board is fairly small, it still expands when heated. On a north wall this may not mean much, but on a hot south wall or roof this expansion can push the drywall subtly away from the framing into which the fasteners are anchored, leading to depressions and "nail pops."Exactly this occurred on a job I did even though the foam was insulated from the hottest roof temps by the R-19 batts in between the rafters exterior to the foam. In his book on drywall techniques Myron Ferguson recounts a similar experience, and like many others, now installs nailing strips over the foam and fastens the drywall to these. This effectively isolates the finish from effects caused by movement in the foam plane.
