Need a source for 5/32″ or 4 mm metal shelf pins. Tried HD, Lowes and Lee Valley…all I can find are 1/4″, 3/16″ and 5 mm.
Do it right, or do it twice.
From building boxes and fitting face frames to installing doors and drawers, these techniques could be used for lots of cabinet projects.

Went through this once, 1960's "Danish" knock-down furniture I think it was. Everything has switched to the 32mm system with the 5mm pins. Needed about a dozen for my parents: bought some 4mm mild rod, chucked short lengths up in a drill and used a hacksaw as a cut-off tool

Use roll pins.
You should be able to get roll pins from auto parts store or a farm supply store.

ELCIC,
Try Wood Workers Supply, I've been doing business with them for seven years. Always good prices and service and they have EVERYTHING for building cabinets.

The mother of hardware catalogs Hafele. Go to hafeleonline.com to request a catalog(the size of the white pages in hardcover). New catalogs will be sent out in january. Or you can call them and request a cdrom. 800-423-3531. They have a ton of cool specialty conectors, euro style hardware, kitchen accesories and yes 4mm shelf pins. Worth getting even if you already got the shelf pins.
