Ok, that worked.
This was a weekend or two project this last winter. I got to play with some of my toys, eh tools, that I dont get to use much. It was also nice to work in a heated shop without the roar and fumes from that old torpedo heater.
The lamp design is from a book on Japanese laterns I have. The wood is Hackberry from a tree felled 5-6 years ago on my lot.
Not a good photo. A supervisor at work took it for me and sent it to me in an e-mail. DW will take some better shots before I give the lamp to my sister for her 60 BD.

That's a nice lamp. Clean looking. Sharp joints. Interesting design on the top and handle. I like it.

Nice lamp but that pic is still dbl the size it should be here.
It should always read under 100 for a lot of dial up guys to see it in this lifetime : )

Thanks maddog.
I'm on a company puter so don't have photoshop software available. Can't download anything like Infranview either. They have some pretty tight security on our system.
At home I could have resized to under 100kb. I'm on really slow dialup there. If I can ever get connected faster than 28K, I "smoken."

any time buddy.......
If you haven't already, you should post this (with the large pic) over in Knots. Knots folks don't care if the file is big and they'll really like the pic.

I'm on dial-up but the 200kb pics are OK with me. 3-400 and up, however, don't usually get opened unless I read everything else already, the text peaks my interest or the posters work is already known.
Next week, however, everthing changes.
I get DSL ULTRA.
Bellsouths new promotion and dropping my second line saves me about $3 per month. Even though the modem is $75 I get a $75 coupon and there's also another $50 coupon on-line. Makin' out like a bandit.
I keep getting literature from Bell South for the same thing, but when we inquire about getting it, they tell us it is not available in our area yet. We have heard that same line for three years now. You would think they could stuff that literature in with the bills for just the areas that the service is available.

Nice work, Dave. Very Zen.
Hey, it ain't rocket surgery...
