Should I be worried about this foundation crack?
Hi everyone, new homeowner here and a new forum member so apologies if this is a dumb question, but a month after moving into our new home my wife and I noticed this crack in the exterior of our home right in a corner where two spots of the foundation meet.
It’s about 10 inches long (might be longer if we keep digging down) and about a quarter of an inch wide at the widest point. Our inspector didn’t mention it (although that could just be due to negligence) and this area is known for a lot of settling. Attaching a photo below, what do you think?
(Note: stupidly I didn’t take a photo before filling it with a bit of DAP, but you should get the idea. The crack is widest in that middle section)

Can't judge this just from the picture alone - needs to be evaluated in context.
Concrete cracks - it's a known phenomena. Most vertical cracks are usually structurally harmless.
But not knowing where this corner is in relationship to the entire structure and how it sits on the land does not permit a proper evaluation.
