i found this on eBAY:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=360130789155
is it a good saw???? I have used one but only briefly.
it’s about £200 cheaper than anywhere else.
It’s is a return but it has a full makita warranty.
I do have some projects coming up that it would be handy for but i want to know if it’s worth the money
thanks

well, hello
roy loves his makita, but his is a 7 1/4"
i already have 71/4 and 9" saws...............it would make life much easier on 4" stuff...............
I have one.
It is a little tippy - the sole plate is a bit narrow.
and the blade guard is stiff so plumb cuts, angles, cheeks in 8/4 stock isn't as easy as you might think
plunge cuts are flat out a bad idea
but that is all free hand
if you make jigs for it to ride in and have a stable work surface it is greatNo Tag
