I’m wondering if I need to slope my composite deck. It going to be about 25′ x 10′ with the decking running in the 10′ direction. The composite decking material is 5 1/2″ wide with 1/4″ slots along both sides of the length for hidden fasteners. If the answer is YES, how much lower does the long side (away from the house) need to be?
Thanks for any response.

For drainage, a slope would be advised and you should go for 1/8 inch per foot. Therefore, slope on the 25' and it would be 3.125" lower, or on the 10' it would be 1.25".
Hope this helps.

I'm not sure why you would need to slope your deck with composite decking. I guess I'm always up for an educational lesson.
Yes, you need to slope your composite deck. A slope of 1/4 inch per foot away from the house is recommended. For a 25′ deck, the low end should be 6.25 inches lower than the high end.
Rizwan326, Thanks for your response. I just realized that I left out of my question the fact that there will be 1/4" spaces between every 10' length. (I've updated my question now). Does this change your answer?
1/4 x foot?
It’s not a toilet!
Many suggest 1 in 80, a baseball would slowly roll off.
I’m still unsure of which direction the decking runs. Current guess is 10’ deck, 25’ long.
Calvin,
The deck is 10' by 25'. The deck boards run the 10' length, away from the house. They set on risers that run the 25'. FYI: I put this question to the manufacturer, Decorators (Venture model), but haven't heard back yet. Their 12 pg. instruction manual doesn't mention slope.
Hope I have made it clearer. Thanks, Roy
Update: The manufacturer got back to me regarding the question and stated that since the decking will have 1/4" between each deck board there is no need to slope it.
I do appreciate all the responses though.
Roy
I agree with Calvin that a 1/80" slope is appropriate especially since the boards are sloping away from house
