Should I use a small excavator or a skid steer for demolition

I have an old 1960s trailer home that I need to get rid of. I am very experienced using a skid steer, but I have demolished anything before. I know a full size excavator would work best, but I’m afraid their rental prices are a bit too much. So I’m afraid my choices have come down to a mini excavator or a skid steer. Is a mini excavator with a thumb powerful enough to get the job done, or would it be easier just to use a skid steer especially since I’m more experienced with it anyways?

Personally, with either pcs of equipment I think you will end up with a bunch of bent up still connected trailer. The reach of either isn’t going to be long enough.
Doing it on a budget, I might buy or rent what we called a cut quick. A stihl chainsaw body with a demolition circular blade and a sawzall. Gut the inside as if it was a remodel. Leave crossed interior framing, hop up on the roof and cross cut it in manageable sections (3-4’) . At the ends of the trailer, cut maybe 10” from the end.
Inside, remove the cross framing.
Outside, on one side, cut vertical sections that line up with what you cut up on the roof.
On the other side, cut one vertical at a time lined up with a roof cut. Tie that section off with some thing that won’t brake and pull it off.
Do that one at a time and cut into manageable pcs to dispose wherever and however.
Or, call the fire dept and see if they need a practice trailer.
Best of luck.
Edit: I searched for cut quick to provide a link but am finding not much info regarding general purpose demo saw. You might contact a quality industrial rental shop and see if this type is still available. It’s been many years and by now it’s dangerous use may have taken its blades off the market. We used it for demoing hot tar roofs.
I've used a mini excavator for landscape work, and I can't speak for all makes or sizes, but I can't imagine one would have trouble with a mobile home. Certainly any demo you do in advance would help, but a thumb is pretty useful for and handling and packing into a dumpster.
