I want to replace a small shower with a larger one and can’t move the drain- it’s set in concrete. Are there adaptors to bridge the 12 inches or so between the stall drain and the floor that don’t require too much clearance? Any other suggestions?

I'm not sure what adapter you might be referring to. The usual solution is to bust up enough of the floor to get at the drain, and then relocate it.
pigeon,
Welcome to Breaktime!!
If you click on your name above (where it says "To: pigeon"), you will open your profile.
We would appreciate it if you could fill some of that in, especially where you are located!!
Thanks!
As to your question:
"Any other suggestions?"
I'm betting your only option is to put down a custom tile shower base.

Another day, another tool.
No need to move it. Just slope the floor tiles towards the existing drain. We have done this many times. It is not always best to center the drain in the shower.
What type of tiles are you using?

I'm guessing that you have something like a 36" by 36" (for example only) prefab shower with the drain centered, and you want to replace it with a larger prefab, say 48" square?
And since the drain is centered in both pans, the new drain doesn't fall over the existing?
If you're looking for another prefab, you can find prefab pans that have the drain off-center...so you might be able to find a pan the size you want with the drain where you want it. You could spend a while looking on-line, but your best bet may be to go to a plumbing supply shop and ask them to look through their books.
The next, and probably best option? Build your own pan.
Last option? Besides busting out and moving the existing drain? Build a pedestal to raise the whole shower 6" (or as required) off the existing slab and hide the offest from the new drain to old in the pedestal. Gotta have headroom for that, though...
