In addition to the toilet I previously asked about, I also have to build a shower pan and curb on slab. First, do you still need the PVC or CPE liner when on slab? All the articles and Michael Byrne’s book address wood subfloor applications. I’m planning on pouring the concrete for the curb, but I’m not sure how to treat the ends that die into the stud walls. I was assuming that 30# felt over the framing would be fine. I was thinking of adding something like brick ties, is that necessary?
Thanks!
