Hello all, I am in the middle of a master bath remodel and had a quick question about the shower valv . I’m pretty sure it’s a delta, just not sure how old. If I want a new handle, do I need to replace the valve or will modern trim kits fit on this valve. Thanks!

Keeping HVAC systems within the conditioned enclosure can be tough without a basement; one option is to use plenum trusses for the roof, which offer a space for equipment and ductwork.

You might be able to find a new trim kit to fit. Take the trim you have to a good plumbing supply and ask. We’ve had good luck with Moen and Delta continuing to offer older trims. However, now would be a good time to upgrade with everything opened up.
If you do stick with what you have and can find replacement trims, get a new cartridge as well. It should be a pressure balanced valve.
Edit: looking at your picture doesn’t suggest it is pressure balanced. If true, I’d replace and agree with Mike. I’ve never done a job like yours and not changed out the valve.
Thanks so much Calvin! Looks like I might as well change it out.
Never in a million years would I strip a shower wall down to the studs and not replace an old valve. Be sure to use nail plates on the new installation.
Thanks so much Mike. I appreciate the help.
