Good evening – I’m new to this so hopefully you will cut me some slack if my question isn’t quite right. My house is covered in masonite- ABT is the type. Two sides are in bad shape while the other 2 are okay. I have been looking into Hardi plank to replace the two sides but another buddy recommended craneboard solid core siding.
Looking for any feedback on the craneboard.

Welcome. Are you up in NH in the lakes region?
Cannot tell you about the crane board but there are quite a few on this board that like hardie. You can do a search through the archives for a lot of info on hardie, there are always threads about it. If your in NH, the reps for hardie in this area are very good too.
Thanks for your note. Actually I'm in Iowa but own property on Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro - hence the name. It's my house here that needs some new siding and while Hardy board is what I have bids on - someone suggest checking our craneboard. The attraction is no more painting.Wolfeboro
