Somewhere I read of a new product that “liquifies” cured silicone chalk. I believe the product was called Silicone-Be-Gone. Who makes it?

Most petroleum based products will soften it. Soak it in WD-40, diesel fuel, motor oil etc. let it soak awhile and it will turn yellow and soften up so you can remove it easily. DanT
In the airline industry we have a product called "desealsit" I don't remember the manufacturer I will try to find out tomorrow night when I go to work. It smells like vinegar and is quite corrosive if not removed completely with tons of water. Once again I will try to find out more and maybe get the MSDS on it. (material safety data sheet).
I've found that carburetor cleaner (Gumout, etc.) is lethal to most silicone caulks. Be careful though because it also eats some plastics, paints and rubber.
