We ordered EDPM gasket from Conservation Technologies to use as our sill sealer. However we have since decided to increase the size of our mudsill board.
We still plan to use this gasket for air sealing, but it will not be a fully effective capillary break as it doesn’t span the entire width of the wider mudsill board.
What if anything should we be using as a capillary break between the crawl space wall and mudsill?
Whatever we use would be placed directly on the concrete block wall, then the gasket, then the mudsill.

What width do you need?

I don’t want to buy a new edpm sill seal. I already have the Conservation Technology product that is intended for 6” mudsill. Not practical to return that or to buy new.
So ideally I just need to add capillary break for an 8” sill and need something that is more cost effective than the edpm.
Wondering if we could just layer the typical inexpensive foam sill seal underneath the edpm.
