Good afternoon. We are considering replacing some windows in our home and have been soliciting quotes from contractors. Each claims their product is best. Any comments on Simonton vs PGT windows? We are looking at awning impact windows. Thanks

Can't tell you much about Simonton except that they are sold by HD around here and the Impact windows seem awfully flimsely to me. I've used PGT for 20 years and have always been happy with them. Their aluminum Impact windows are very heavy duty and well built.
Installation?
Do you glue the windows in or is it the nails that hold them up?
Yeah, glue! Lol! Actually it's lots of stainless concrete screws top, bottom and sides.
There's a time for fun and a time for serious-do you know the difference?
