I am building a garage 20′ x 32′ with a 5/12 pitch roof . I want to build my own trusses. Is there any free software out there. It seems the only software available is expensive software for large truss manufacturers. I have built W truss using 1/4 and 1/3 span calculations and was wondering if these can be used for King truss designs?

What kind of roof is this. Will you have ceiling joists or do you want this to be cathedral? If so, either way, why would you want to build them? By the time you build them, it could be framed by hand. Are the rafter spanning the 20' distance?
