What is the best method to match the sink profile when cutting the hole in the counter surface?
I have read the ‘Making a Solid-Surface Counter’ article in FHB#84 pg.40., but the article does not give enough detail in this area.
I plan on using a 1/2″ flush trim bottom bearing router bit for the cut. The problem I see is the sink has a continuos radius profile up to the rim, so if the bearing follows the radii the cut out will stand proud of the true sink edge.
Any ideas to have the opening match the sink?

there is a "bowl bit" made especially for this
Do you know who stocks that bit?

be careful....there are many bowl bits made, lots of them specific to the shape from a particular bowl manufacturer....that is, you buy bit A to match a Corian bowl....but it may not work well, or maybe hardly at all, with a bowl from another manufacturer, which needs bit B. Some bits cut flush, some leave a little overhang too.
