Hi,
Another plumbing question. The sprayer head on our kitchen sink does not work. It worked only moderately since it was new, and a few weeks ago stopped working altogether. It is a Price Pfister and they advertise lifetime warranty. Would the whole unit need to be replaced or are there serviceable parts inside?
Thanks,
Jon

There should be a cartridge inside if it is a one handle with sprayer.
But if it was only just working when installed..... is there an obstruction? in other words..... dope tape or solder???
Hi,
Thank you for your response. It is a two handle model which I just dropped into the sink, plugged the sprayer hose into the body, and caulked it up. Price Pfister has repair advice on their website if you know the model number, and I no longer have the box and haven't crawled up under the sink with a flashlight yet.
I do know the hose is not stiff when the water runs, which tells me water is not making it out of the housing.
Wether it is 2 handle or single handle there is a diverter valve in the center..
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Bill is correct; all kitchen faucet sets with separate vegetable sprayers (not pull-out units that are part of the main spout unit) need a diverter valve. This is almost invariably located at the base of the spout, where you attach the sprayer hose. From the symptoms you describe your problem is likely a defective diverter valve.
In any event, if Price Pfister says they'll guarantee it for life, take them up on it.
