First off, I want to say hi to all (except Dogwood) as I am new to this great forum, but I did happen across some of his rude comments. On to my question; I recently built a deck for my parents and invested in the renown saw for the deck and many future endeavors. It came with a cheap bag which I dislike, but I have seen job-sites with metal carrying cases. In both cases (separate job-sites) the case was red with unpainted steel carrying handle. They also did not have any markings on them, but both had OEM welded (fixed) do-hickeys to hold the front of the saw table and the rear of the saw so that the saw was not free floating. Anyone know of such an animal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
Troy

Anyone have any insight?
I guess the bags are cheaper so manufacturers seem to be phasing out steel boxes. I got a bag with my mag 77, 1/2" router, and super sawzall in the last year. The dam sawzall won't even fit in my old sawzall box.
Somehow you'll have to find it used. Better yet, build one. Good luck and sorry I'm no help.
Welcome to BreaktimeSmile. It could be worse. You could be me working for you.
Nope on the insight.
Just the same welcome to BT Breck.

A lot of guys just go around to the box store (or, in our case, Canadian Tire), buy a cheapie tool-box, and throw away the tray. If you want fancier, Bosche sells a metal case for the saw (sorry, I don't have the number, check dealer's catalogue).

On ebay, I sent you an email via this site's service. You'd look like an oldtimer with this baby.

Go to lowes, buy yourself a cheapie kobalt tool-box, chuck the tray, or if you like red metal for your saw, buy yourself a milwaukee steel box. I can understand the need or desire to have a case, they are an investment, and you dont want to be bending and breaking the saw just driving to a site.
