Anyone know where I might find replacement blades for a Skil Model 98 (Type 1 S# 6197) 3″ plane?
It was made in the Netherlands and according to a local repair rep, the parts don’t exist.
Thanks,

Upgrading the footings and columns that support a girder beam is an opportunity to level out the floor above.

I wonder if one of those shops who make custom jointer knives could make a set. Doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to make a straight set, if they can make curved ones.
Just a thought................
I'm the man of this house and I have my wife's permission to say so.
Good point, Boss. Do you happen to know of any? They're only 3" long, so they shouldn't be that bad.
I was hoping that someone might say that they knew of the model 98 and it was made by such and such for Skil and the blades were still available......
thanks for the reply,
John

I don't know of a company offhand, but I've seen their ads in woodworking magazines. Maybe someone else will step in who knows of one.I have PMS and a gun...excuse me, did you have something to say?
Jesada used to do custom cutters.
But I understand that most any grinding services also do it.
Check with you local sharpeners.
Thanks, gents.
Ill check into it.
