Has anyone tried/ used the skil table saw stand ( believe its something like model #80092). Looks alot like the Rousseau/ Makita saw stand, but about half the price. Wondering if its worth trying out or being safe and going with the rousseau.
You get what you pay for, but sometimes, sometimes you get more.
Thanxs for any info. If I decide to get the skil, Ill post my thoughts on it once Ive tried it out.
thanxs,

P.s. the m2akita is in no reference to the ol’ blue “Makita”, its actually in reference two my dogs. I own two Akita’s, thus my 2 akita

How many Amps is the Motor?

Edgar,
0 amps. What I am talking about is a stand that you would drop your portable table saw/ bench saw into ( saw like the Makita, Delta sidekick, etc.). The stand looks like the saw stands made by Rousseau.
I thought it sounded to good to be true."I was born in the country, razed in the city, I'm a natural born shaker from my hips to the ground"
Its a great piece but look around for pricing it varies a lot! I used mine for three+ years and had great results with the skil table saw in it. I upgraded to a Dewalt 746k. So the skil only sees daylight once in a while. If you live near philadelphia, there is a woodworkers warehouse with some clearance tables at very good prices. I can look for you if you like.
I just recieved my Woodworkers Warehouse flyer today. The jet $ 279
H Depot has the skill for $ 188 they both look good to me."I was born in the country, razed in the city, I'm a natural born shaker from my hips to the ground"
Nigel,
That Dewalt looks like a nice saw, how do you like it so far? Wouldnt mind it but it would be a pain to hual from job to job. I think I will go with the skil table if it will fit my saw........ I have the newer model Makita (2703) which has a bigger top on it than the other similiar bench top saws. E-mailed Skil but no word yet.
Thanx for the input

Agreed The dewalt I have is not the portable model. I used the skil stand with the $190 skil table saw and really liked the results. A little careful setting up to start and it cuts on the money.
