Walter—- i know I have been promising you some pictures for MONTHS——- rain day today— so let’s see if I can get some posted for you
I have 1 hour 45 minutes invested in resizing,re-arranging so far today–let’s see how it goes
these first 4 pictures should be of one of the salvage yards I have been buying stock from—makes me wonder if it is like a more urban version of your backyard???? LOL—— these cover about roughly 2 city blocks

Here is my ride--- Ilike to keep it simple-- manual transmision and NO a/c--- not being up on the roof is a/c enough!
this is a house i have done some work on---- it's owned by the mother of a good friend of another Breaktime regular------- the owner is a super nice lady-------but she won't listen to reason exactly the house was built in the 1950's--- used slate was installed at the time---and it's been a problem ever since--almost since the original install. when I started looking the roof over ------hundreds of galv.bibs which have been there so long the bibs are rusting out. Many,MANY slates replaced outright---many face nailed and caulked, there is a problem behind the turret that I think we have turned off--- but it is never going to be permanently resolved without replacing the roof entirely but ya gotta love the house
currently having a problem getting more pictures to attache-------- i have maybe 16 more to post-------might try tommorrow or over the weekendstephen
I don't know what you are resizing with, but you are still way big...you should be aiming for 480x640 and under 200kb or so.

Agreed. If he spent 90 minutes resizing, something is wrong. irfan does it with just a few clicks.
Haz ... maybe you have used too much file space? Need to get the sizes to a third of what you posted, or smaller."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

I just resized a whole batch of my garden , 18 pics, w/ xp's resize button. Put em in a folder on desktop and sized the whole bunch w/one click, in 10 seconds or less, and have a full size copy in the same folder.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

lets see if I can shrink these down a bit more and get 'em to post
this is way more hassle than it's worth clearly something wrong on my end-- but I just ain't interested in posting pictures enough to invest more time in this at this point--places to go, dogs to walk etc. anyhow walter-- i have some slate pic's a a few houses we worked on--plus the carriage house project---plus the tile roof project I should be starting shortly i was thinking it was a Ludowici tile----- but a bit of research tells me it is a Sharps wedge tile-------- Ludowici bought them out and currently owns the out of production molds--- i should be doing some restoration work on THAT roof in augustAfter THAT---- I think I am going to be doing some carpentry work on a house built in 1815-------that will be the oldest house I have worked on by about 30 years--aint many of them around here Front of the house was jacked up and the sill and front stone foundation replaced---- stone mason referred me to the homeowner----- I should be working on Extensive siding issues, capping some pilasters-- replacing window sills, a mess of sash to replace, corner boards to mill and match-----and basically and endless amount of work on one side alone-------- house has about 5 OTHER facades to work on later................ heading to the parkstephen
Stephen,
Just returned last nite from my favorite Island retreat .
Came back with more work to do then when I went out a week ago , but thats life I guess .
Thanks for posting these , sorry it was such a hassle for you .
You can easily batch resize with a free download of Picasa .
Best , Walter
walter-- what's easy for
YOU--- isn't necissarily easy for me. what I should do is email the relevant pics. to you so you can view them at your leisure-- i think I could just about handle that,LOL. also---- looks like I found suitable tiles for the sharps wedge tile project. customer is currently teaching a class in Mexico------ but i hope to start that project in 7-10 days or so. whole project should take 12 days or so---about 5 of them pretty nerve wracking, LOLstephen
Haz-
Don't sweat resizing the pics, just get them up here any way you can. Plenty of folk can resize them for the dialups once you post them.
Cheers
