hey guys, there was an article some time ago, months or years?, about a guy who built some sliding toolboxes for the bed of his pickup. I want to do this in my truck and wonder if anyone has any further advice on the idea. Also, what issue was that in? I have my magazines all over the house and am having trouble locating the issue.

My boss has a sliding drawerbox in his trucks and I think they take up to much space. If you have to put any large heavy stuff in there it has to be lifted over them. The way to go is side boxes but thet're more $.
Ironic,
I was talking to a guy at work today about the slide out box he has in his bed, the bed's covered with a shell so water isn't to big a problem for him.
Drawers were made of ply about 6' long so he still has room in front of the them.
The box was made of 2x10 cedar sides and middle with ply top and bottom. He did mention next time he will make the sides and middle divider out of LVL's because in high humidity the cedar bows and expands making the drawers hard to slide.....
another recommendation he had was to use 1/2 in. on the bottom and screw it up, orginally his was 1/4 in. nailed and glued. With the drawers extended and weighed down it would pull the nails out
No idea on the issue for the mag.
If you want to go the spendy route and look cool with diamond plate
