Driving yesterday I saw a new development, attached houses, where the pent shed roof over each entry slopes back to the house.
Thinking about that I recall that it’s not uncommon exactly and I wondered about the dis/advantages of the design.
if you slope it back you can control runoff to a leader attached to the ext. wall, and avoid runoff around the entry (and any posts/leaders there?) but you rely on flashing at the roof/wall when you send water back to the house.
Do you ever want to send water back to the house?
