Nice looking work! Hey, was that a country station the DW radio is tuned to? That's what we like to hear.
Luv the finished bath look, with the white trim and red.
Beautiful mantle, too. I noticed the sills on the windows. Was that one piece or built up?ADH Carpentry & Woodwork

Looks like fun. What's the slope? Looks considerably more than the 25% allowed here. Primary access is the top of the slope?PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
she is steep
varies- none to oh say 45 maybe 50 degrees
probably looking at two basement levels
i figure once it is dug flat everything is downhill
got meetings all week long with excavators and block guys and footer men and building inspectors and scaffolding companies and maybe an engineer for good measure
fun with a capital f
oh yeah- entry level is toward the top
A little like this?PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
a lot like that
Have fun!PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
Wait a minnit. In Ohio? Everything I've seen was flat and boring. Got friends in Carey. They even bought a BMW 2 seater, with absolutely straight roads, everything on a grid. What a waste...PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
you come and visit me sometime.
you'll think you are in the alps
only flatter
hey i gotta get to work
have a good one
damn.. i built one of those side hill gougers once.. the lying homeowners wouldn't let me flatten the top as much as i wanted... they wanted to save the trees
.. and..
they insisted they'd never pave the driveway..
we busted our a*s
and don'tchaknow.. after one winter.. they cut down a lot more trees, and paved the drive
and .... complained that they wish they had a little more level area around the house

This nice workmanship and willingness to do it is fine for you, however, there are those of us out here whose wives have access to this site, for whom you may be creating a do list nightmare.
From now on please encrypt your pictures only to be opened with the secret BT handshake.
you should see my list...
shoulda never told her what i do
LOL--so right you are. I just called my husband in here. He doesn't do this kind of work, but it still puts a certain amount of pressure there....LOL! (Just kidding...well, ok, not really.)
Singing Die Zauberflöte in English is like eating at the Olive Garden.
Real nice work. I like the wains coating in the bathroom. Just out of curiosity, what is the name of the manufacturer and paint color that you used for the "red" looking part of the wall.
thanks
Barney
it is valspar paint from loews
i know everybody talks up behr from home depot
i think it sucks
truthfully don't buy much paint other than sherwin williams or maybe porter but homeowners lotta times would rather buy at loews or hd.
never had trouble with sw.
never used behr that it didn't run or flash so you gotta use flotrol or something similar
oh thanks for the compliment.
i will check the color for you
Thanks for getting back to me. I couldn't agree with you more. I HATE Behr paints from the HD. Everytime I have used it, it has gone on like cr*p, and I have had to re-paint it.
I look forward to hearing what color it is.
Thanks,Barney

I tinted the primer and brushed two coats finish over
started a room addition at my house
waiting for daylight and the block man to show up
looks like your concrete guy hired that cheap car labor :o)
what concrete man?
the pump guy asked me how many helpers I had
helpers?
me and you- hell it's only sixty feet of footer...
well okay chief- what are we pouring to?
how about those grade stakes that are every four feet and sprayed bright orange...let's go with that
forty minutes later the mud is in place
nuther forty minutes and it is floated
then the little four legged people tested it while i was away getting straw
block guy likes it- within a quarter inch of flat one end to the other
he wishes i'd pour more footings but the dogs don't travel well so that is right out...
i am pouring far too much 'crete for a dumb carpenter this winter...
more snapshots
been a while
foundation is done, slab is poured, frame on and on
meanwhile in another part of town...
the garage walls are finally up and sheathed and maybe the trusses will arrive before i die
seem to have lost some of the garage pics- not that exciting anyway
take some come trusses
You know, Duggy, it was mighty nice a you to build that addition just especially for my visit...And look at that, your son worked so hard on it, his head caught fire.I just can't find the words...

you should probably light a fire under me cause this is what your room looks like
That's alright.Throw a tarp over the top, staple some plastic to those windows, and throw a big pile of couch cushions in the corner, and I'll feel right at home..; )Oh, wait. You gotta track some dirt in first...

hopefully, as in unless i die or get killed, there will be windows and electric and air and plumbling and insulation and
maybe drywall-
who knows
bring a hammer
Ok, but I don't think they'll let me board the plane in my utilikilt...

really thought i had a pic of the new valley rafters meeting that micro. everthing is framed and dried in and ready to rip out the bedroom ceiling below
can't find it- too bad cause they fit sweet- i'll keep looking.
anyway- that trellis turned out nice and the decking is awesome and the breazeway is beginning to look good.
waiting for the cablerail system to arrive day after tomorrow and after install i will be golden for the next few days.
Thank you very much for getting back to me. I appreciate it.
