i’m building a new garage and i’m using a colored split face block have not come up with a way to run a soffit on the over hang against the rough edge of the block. thanks for any help.

JSmith, you can either scribe it, or cut a line on the stone, and install the soffit over it. Either way, after caulking, it will appear the same.

*Could you use your split block up to the fascia and then, at the fascia level, either go with a smooth block or corbel your block in about an inch? This would leave a shelf to hide the edge of your fascia.Or, just let your top course be smooth faced and if three inches or more of it show, it just looks like an accent detail you intended to include.
