I’m building a house with a 2/12 gable roof. The rafters are 2×12 and soffited with ceiling below to form a cathedral ceiling. I have been unable to find a way to vent near the ridge..I am thinking now of simply venting at the eves and leaving space for air passage at the ridge..Any ideas?
Also one area of the roof has a clerestory above the only roof to wall ventilating flashing systems that I have seen require a minimum 3/13 pitch..any ideas?
Thanks for any help!

A 2/12 pitch ain't much of a cathedral ceiling unless your building a warehouse.
IMHO I'd dump the idea and go for trusses and power vent it. You won't get much natural convection through that attic.
