I have a typical 45 degree angle cabinet in the corner of kitchen. the door opens wide I guess. does anyone know exactly what blum soft close hinge addon I can get for this? I’ve tried a “Blumotion 973a 170dg BP973A6000” but it can’t connect into the hinge. I’ve attached an image of my hinge.

Hey Ken, I looked at the Blum catalog and there are many different soft close parts that clip to the existing hinge with that part number that look different. One, maybe the one you tried, is in line with the hinge itself, another sits above the hinge, both are labeled 973a6000, but are clearly different. I would make sure you are plugging in all the important factors, such as overlay (full or partial), degree, angled cabinet etc. Or what I would do is just get the new Inserta hinge with the Blumotion built into the cup. Not sure about the price difference, but for a handful of doors it may be simpler.
Thank for your help, I think I'll have to do that and replace the hinge completely I think.
