It appears I had a large hawk, crow, or owl with some significant intestinal distress visit my roof. It actually looks worse in person than the attached pictures (my roofer took the pictures with a drone). I initially thought it might have been white paint. It’s on the front of the house and is plainly visible from the street. We went through two moderate rainstorms with no change. So….
Don’t want to damage the shingles. I found a company that advertises a “soft washing technique” for roofs. I’m a little skeptical. Any suggestions? Should I just leave it alone?
Thanks,
Bob

Rain will wash it off eventually. We have a hawks nest over the driveway and even with pounding summer rains, it takes a long time to wash all the white stuff off the concrete. Otherwise, hit it with some soap and a soft brush.
I guess you should ask to your roofing experts. They will help you in that matter.
