There are 2 vines in our garden that are putting out these giant round cucumbers. Taste the same as the others, just have more flesh around the seedy center.

Cukes ARE melons, at least I'm pretty sure they are. Maybe the cuke cross-germinated with some other melon to make that shape?
My grandmother always said not to plant the cukes to close to other vine like plants, ie: squash, melons, pumpkins, ect....they will cross pollenate and get some muntin fruit. possiblly
That only applies if you are saving the seeds to replant.
When you cut it open, can we get a picture of the inside?
I grow cucumbers every year. Usually a different variety depending on my mood when I plant the seeds, but I've never seen a round cucumber.
Oh man !
Think of the Pickles those would make...........
Perfect on burger!
They look sort of, but not exactly, like Delikatesse, which is a variety we used to grow.
Another round cuke that I liked was lemon cucumbers. Yup, round to oval shape, and yellow.
Both were excellent.

I think I recall somewhere in my mind, that when the fruits are small, you can stuff them in odd containers such as a clear pop bottle, and get some species of melons and whatever to fill the container and take its shape...but then again, I might just be remembering something that never happened. That happens from time to time.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

When I was a kid, a guy down the street used to grow Richard Nixon either cukes or squash. I think cukes.Just like you wrote, he bought these hinged forms and clipped them over the cuke when it got to be a certain size. They grew to fill the form.Pretty interesting.Mongo

Same thing happened to me this year.
The reason for mine, I beleive, were b/c I draped the vines over the raised bed box b/c there wasn't enough space for all of them inside. The mass of the cukes suspended from the vine seems to have settled into the bottom of the veggie, and caused round cukes, not long ones.
I see you also got a good crop of peanut butter this year. Mine didn't do as well.
Did you make peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches with out the bread?
