Anyone have any luck or feedback on these critters? I got a bunch of equip that I don’t use on a regular basis, and sometimes they don’t start when I want. Both gas and diesel, as well as trailer break-away. Sitting here with my Northern Equip catalog, wondering if it’s worth it.
Thinking the low watt battery maintainers.

Umm,, what's northern Equip? Do they have a website? umm,, browsing now!
It is now know as Northern Tool, was Northern Hydraulics. And yes that have a website. Google is your friend. But the solar chargers are common. You will find them listed on Marine suppliers and I suspect RV and auto..

Thought maybe you were on to some cool supplier for guys heading into the great north extreme wilderness. BTW,, I've had friends use the solar chargers for their sailboats,, with good results.
I bought one for my chevy that sits sometimes months. The battery always would lose charge. Bought a small solar charger at Harbor Freight. It works well. It has a light that blinks when the panel produces electricity, but it will blink even if not plugged into the cigarette lighter. I wish it indicated that the battery is being charged.
This is the one I have. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=44768

A buddy uses 3-4 of them at his ranch. One keeps the battery on the dump trailer charged up, another runs a motion activated light on the carport, and one kept a truck battery charged for several months while it was being overhauled.
I don't know the brand, but am pretty sure that he got them from Harbor Freight.
