I have to replace my oil fired boiler and hot water system with a new one this spring.  I live in the northeast and have a southern facing roof and greenhouse.  I am thinking of adding solar panels to the greenhouse or the roof and tie it into the new system.

Can someone recommend a brand they have had good luck with?  I am not sure if I should get a full blown solar hot water system or do something less sophisticated and just preheat my cold water going into the indirect hot water heater through a simple copper coil painted black in the heated greenhouse and get some sort of benefit.  Is this silly to do without a solar storage tank?

How about the oil fired boiler and indirect water heater, can anyone recommend a brand?
