One off my employees asked me yesterday if I had seen concrete laundry tubs for sale anywhere lately. Apparently the one in his house has developed a crack after 30 years and he would like to replace it with another one rather than plastic. Any ideas ? By the way, I am not certain if those sinks are actually concrete or soapstone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

They were quite common here, still see a few in some houses I work on.
A demolition yard might turn one up. Farmers would use one once in a while for a water trough. I would scour the second hand outfits for one. Even here where they still get used, I dont know of anyone making them.
Whatever it was.................I didnt do it.
they are very common here in southwestern ontario in housed more than 30 years old, never seen a new one though

Try Mcmaster-Carr Supply Co. Their website is http://www.mcmaster.com. They have a catalog with just about everything in it but it is not a discount house by any means. They show one in their catalog, part# 2913K5 for about $175.00. If you go to their website you can search by that number and a picture should show up. They can also special order items from the same manufacturer if the standard item doesn't meet your specs. They are very easy to deal with but again they are not the cheapest.
