Anybody out there ever build a southwest style home. The plans call for 2×6 studs with @ 4′ of the top portion of stud tapered down to 2″. I have @ 500 of these to cut and am looking for the most efficient and time saving process. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE?- Thanks-Steve

If you can find somebody with a bandsaw sawmill, making cuts like you describe is pretty easy, whether they have to be a tapered cut or a long notch.
While I haven't built a Mission or Santa Fe style home, I've cut a lot of repeating cuts like you desire on my mill. The boards can be set on edge and I usually cut 12 or 15 at a time.
