Trying to level floors on an old home and are in middle of the process. Expect to create a separation between sill and foundation and plan is to place metal shims and then seal them with sprayfoam. Question is how far apart should those shims be? I have a 14 foot section of sill that most of shimming will be within. Assume most shims are 6 inches long x width of sill, how far apart should I be spacing them? Shim thickness may vary along the section, not sure that matters. Thanks.

I would shim at every bolt hold down location, beam or other structural member and it would not hurt to shim under each stud location.
Entry door location.
