I am airsealing an attic with collar ties going across 16′ on 24″ centers the interior space ceiling attached to collar ties is 1×6 T&G with no backing just nailed to collar ties. My question is can I use plastic in the bays against the T&G to stop spray foam from leaking thru T&G. Will spray foam breakdown plastic? I was advised to Tyvex but trying to keep cost down. Any thoughts??? Thanks
