Hi All,
Grant will be coming up in 10 days or so to put the copper roof on the house. Tore off cedar Thursday, my cousins did actually, younger and stronger. I was the clean up guy on the ground 🙁 See attached pics.
The mess upstairs with all the ripping and than nailing of new ply to old decking was significant. I will be cleaning this weekend, and since future plans call for spray foam to underside of roof, maybe I should get that done before Grant comes. Should stop any additional wood chips, dust etc from falling.
What do you think, any reason to hold off?

BTW closed cell 2″ thick. Also saw some ants when we ripped roof, not many but there none the less. Heard that foam with borate stops that, any thoughts?

I don't know of any spray foam with borates. You can get foam sheets with borates, though...
You may want to spray your roof deck and rafters with Boracare before the foam is sprayed, but first find out why the ants are there in the first place.
