I’ve got a big van with ladder racks and it’s a pain to wash. Anybody got a better method?

Leave it dirty?
Hire some illegals?
Trade it in?

Done the first, tired of that.
May get to the second.
As for the third, I like the van, just wish I'd gotten the self cleaning package.
on my van i call it the anti glare coating!!!!
a hose
a bottle of liquid dish soap (cheapest U can find)
a fairly soft push broom.
squirt it all down with the hose, squirt some soap straight out of the bottle, aim high.
squirt a soft spray with the hose ... scrub from top down with the broom.
hose hard from top down ... done.
start drinking a beer at the begining of the final hose down.
finish first beer ... get in truck and "air dry" with a lap or two around the block.
get back, sit on porch and finish the 6 pack.

NOW I like the way you think. But better to have the kids wash while you drink the beer. While they are out doing the drying laps, they can pick up more beer.
Well, with a fake ID, maybe.Glenn
*Recipe copied to cookbook....LOL.Scott.
I use a chevy van, 3500 long wheel base.
I don't use the ladders very often so the racks are only on the van when I need them. Do you need them every day?
This all means I go through the car wash. Vans to big to wash in the drive!
with ladder racks the big bay coin operated spray booths make more sense.
I just pull out the step ladder when I want to clean the roof.
spray the water ... spray the soap ... spray the wash water then spray the pretend wax they sell that I din't think is ever there ...
