I installed a T$G subfloor with glue. It has wall to wall carpet over it, with plaster ceiling below. About 6 months after installation a squeak developed. How can I get rid of sweak without damage to carpet. I have heard you can screw through carpet without damage, is this true? Any thoughts would be great.

Call your local carpet guy. A few years ago I was on a job and got all freaked out because the carpet guy was screwing through the carpet to to try to get rid of a squeak.
After he was able to calm me down he explained the tool he was using would drive a screw down and then the head was popped off. Leaving the shank in the subfloor and joist, but no head.
I should also mention that these were speacial screws.

Yes you can screw thru carpet, the product comes with a breakable screw that breaks off at the floor height, I forget the name of the product, but most woodworking suppliers will know where to get one, the base look like a triangle and the screw fits in the middle, using a cordless drill will do the job.
hope this helps.
If the carpet has some pile to it, you can screw through it with a regular screw and you won't see evidence of the screw. Make sure you hit a joist for best results.
