squeaky hardwood floors over radiant hea
I recently installed Koa Hardwood floors over radiant heat climate panels. At night I lower the heat to 60 and at 5 AM i raise it to 66. when it is very cold out I can hear the floors pop kinda like slow popping pop corn then when I get up and walk it is like I’m walking across a thin layer of ice. I walk the floor once and the floors are as quiet as can be. Its soo bad I’m thinking of tearing them up and glueing down new ones
Any suggestion or tricks to quiet the floors.

And what happens when you leave the heat constant?
And how is the flooring fastened to the panels? Is it perhaps a floating floor?

Hi,
I've had somewhat the same problem, so I'm really interested to see what kind of ideas people have.
I've also thought about taking the floor up, and reinstalling it using glue in the joints, but not sure if that will help.
My current floor has a layer of thin foam underlay between the subfloor and the finished laminate flooring (as recommended by the floor supplier) -- I'm wondering if a different kind of underlayment might improve things?
