Stabilized Cellulose – Pros/Cons?

We are having a log home built, with log 1st story & 2×6 frame second story.  The builder is proposing stabilized cellulose to insulate the second story walls & gable ends.  Does anyone know any pros or cons of stabilized cellulose over other types of insulation?  We live in the midwest – Indiana.  thanks.
