I have a large deck with a lot of verticle balisters around the parimeter .Has anyone use a HVLP sprayer to spray on the stain? I would need the spray to be relativly narrow.
Does it speed up production?

This window installation system allows most of the work to be done from the inside, making the process faster and safer for one person working alone.

Have done very similar jobs with an HVLP, works great. Some overspray of course but nothing horrible.

I, too, have stained decks and fences with my HVLP conversion gun. (Its HVLP that runs off of a compressor.)
It works very nicely, although its not anywhere near as fast as an airless.
As for overspray, that will depend on the quality of your gun -- but if you get one of those really big hand-held shields, it will not be an issue.

Thanks,
I dont need a really expensive gun as Im not spraying paint on a car.
Could a piece of cardboard work as a shield.
I though it might speed things up a bit, as it take a LONG time to stain each vertical balister.
>>Could a piece of cardboard work as a shield.Sure. But maybe plan on having two or three pieces of cardboard around. When one gets a little soggy, switch to the next.
