it has been a while since i visited the forum, but now that i’m back, i would appreciate your ideas on the following head scratcher.

i’m building later this year. remembering i’m from ireland, we normally put brick/block veneer outside our stick frame. but where i’ll walk into my front door will be the hall/stairwell. should i build the stick frame ballooned to the top-plate upstair’s?

i’m just thinking the platform method in this area could lose some strenght.
