Don't guress I understand the question. I trim both sides the same, 1/8" reveal on the split head-jambs, and the split jambs on all casing.
Or, do you meant the space between the door and the inside of the split jamb? 3/16" in normal if your door isin't warped.
I modified two I installed in my own home by making the finished opening 1/2" larger than the door. Then I installed a removeable second strike jamb. If the door ever needs to be removed, I just remove the trim head screws on the strike jamb, one side of the head jamb, and the casing above, and remove the door. Just have to cut a little caulk which is no problem.
