The lower part of one wall of my house will always be exposed to dampness. Has anyone had experience putting standing seam metal (I’ll be using copper) on a wall? The upper part will be sanded cedar shingles on 1×4’s; what would best back the copper and still allow a decenct looking junction between the 2 materials.? The metal will probably cover only the 1st 4 feet of a 13 foot tall wall. Could I fabricate panels in the shop and just carry them over? No, time is not a problem, this is my own job on my own house. On the other hand, I’m not all that young anymore….
TIA

There's just been a thread about this. Look up
Thanks for the referral. I don't spend much time here and managed to overlook the very stuff I need. Mostly, I just wanted to see if someone knew a real good reason NOT to do it. Now if I can figure out how to slide an 7x18' garage door horizontally instead of overhead, then I'll clad it in standing seam, too.
thanks again
